Voluntary Benefit Plans

UF Health offers various voluntary benefits plans in addition to your main benefit offerings.  

Many of these plans will be available through Self-Service as part of Open Enrollment.    

All of these voluntary benefits are portable and permanent. Benefits eligible employees are able to pay for these benefits through payroll deductions. If you become ineligible for UF Health benefits, you can arrange to pay for these from home. 

Lincoln Financial Benefit Plans

The following Voluntary Benefit Plans are available through Lincoln Financial Group.
— Accident Plan
— Hospital Indemnity Plan
— Critical Illness Plan

*Term Life Insurance

This plan pays a cash benefit directly to your designated beneficiary upon death. This plan also includes Long-Term Care benefits.

Employees are only able to enroll in this plan during Open Enrollment.

Coverage is provided by CHUBB.

*Cancer Advocacy Plan

This plan pays a lump-sum benefit to you upon diagnosis of cancer. Additionally, you would receive another two payments within 12 months.

Coverage is provided through CHUBB.

*Preferred Legal Plan

This plan offers comprehensive legal assistance and discounted representation for all types of legal services.

Coverage is through Preferred Legal.

*Identity Theft

This plan provides Identity Theft protection.

Coverage is through Allstate.

You will need to enroll through Allstate and pay them directly for this coverage.

*Pet Insurance

This is insurance for your pet. Rates will be determined based on the type and age of pet.

Coverage is through MetLife.

You will need to enroll through MetLife and pay them directly for this coverage.

Manhattan Life Plans

These are voluntary benefit plans offered through the Union.
